Yes as you know life in Russia is hard and it seems quite hard on me, I have now had the pleasure of 3 interesting visits to Russian Hospital, fortunately the last 2 (in one visit to RF) where not serious and i can joke about it.

However I cut my holiday short to come back to the UK a week earlier because I had dislocated my shoulder and gained a very swollen Knee joint and needed to get home to a physio here and didn't want to hang around in Russia for a 3rd problem !!

That was in Manchester on the way home when the airline lost my bags !! .... but it saved me carrying them home with my damaged shoulder and knee . It was so hot out there and the air quality so bad I was just feeling ill all the time, I am very rarely ill in UK or most places I go to, but in Russia there is something strange about that place, maybe the local Atom station has a Radiation leak or something.

I have decided in future I will not visit RF in Winter (Too Cold) and Summer (Too Hot), I think there is a week in April and September which will be just about right for me. [wink.gif]

I was a bit dissappointed because we had planned to visit Kazan for a few days, another time maybe.

Hi Julian

You were kind enough to comment favourably about my story .. So Naturally, I wanted to read yours...

I was blown away .. !

There are some similarities to our stories ( re being apart / kids finishing schooling )

Hope you fell better soon..

PS Do you watch Holby City.. ? there is a Sister on the ward who plays a Ukrainian Nurse [ a goth ! ] who demonstrated a technique for swiftly and painlessly fixing dislocated shoulders... ;)

Welcome to the board.

May I suggest to you that you should post a small introduction about your self on the INTRODUCTION forum.

Thank you
