So are we going to hear about your Tashkent adventure and see photos from your wedding?

Not posting any pics of the big day. I'll give a short rundown on the time there.

Went up in this thing... the Tashkent TV tower. It was Alina's first time going there, and she was less than impressed with the 'tourist attraction'

Here's a vid link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xEaWDeWuMc

Crazy by western standards, and so completely dangerous....... well have a look for yourself you can decide. BTW we were told we could walk up all the stairs to the top, however Alina was gripping my tight, and I didn't see much point in handing on to the outside of the tower.

Went to Tashkent Land, its a kiddie park (pics on the 1st page) with a huge aqua park and stuff for kids. Roasted in the city, realised I have no interest in ever going back there by the second week. The lack of Slav's to stare at had me feeling that I had scooped the last Slav in that country. Though there are other Slav's they do get treated like 2nd class citizens, and the exodus is well underway. No Slav's seem to hold government jobs, and we did encounter some resentment one day while in a hospital from a Uzbek guy.
Got married and hung out for a few days more, then came home.

Vinny had you gotten the visa and dropped in for a few days, I really don't know what I could of done to make it seem more palatable. We could of strolled around with beer in hand, looking at what little there was. Even the nightlife was quite dismal, though the dog I ate with Sasha would be considered a highlight of the night.
