Hi all,

It seems I made a booking error, but I have no clue how easy it is to fix it.

My wife leaves simferopol airport back to Netherlands at 10:05 AM , but myself i am booked on a flight 20mins later 10:25...

(We do however have the same flight from Moscow to Amsterdam).

Yikes!

I still await aeroflots reply.

Hi Mark

Why don't you phone AEROFLOP in Moscow +74952235555 and ask then to change the flight?

Any how, what is the situation about Visa etc?

Have a nice trip.

Thanks for the good wishes.

I have my answer now, Aeroflot wants $60 for changing passanger details of my wife to my own flight, even though the flight I am on was not available when she booked (did not exist), and her flight is booked "full" and is not available for me now.

Other sources tell me to simply wait, since Aeroflot is overbooked, passengers can be offered money to take a later flight. My wife could then still be on my flight and have aeroflot pay for this as well.

If you have made a confirm booking with the second flight and have the Res number ABCDS etc.... and the full itinerary....... then sit and wait. it is obvious that the capacity control of aeroflot....... expect overbooking as they have not manage to ascertain the size of the aircraft they need.... because of the additional load, that used to fly via KIEV.

So as the 1st flight is full.... they opened another flight,.......and they can always substitute the size of the aircraft...... to larger one to take both aircraft passengers..... so you will still fly together.

I don't know the dates of your flight but .......I had a quick look and during July/August their prices are a rip off as they have the monopoly of the destination.

Hanna is flying to UFA in July and for the same dates.........Aeroflot is £150 pounds more expensive from BA/S7.

I never understood their mentality..... with these kind of prices expect to help tourism Crimea...?

WHAT ABOUT VISA???

As to the flight, Aeroflop said we could book my wife+son on my flight, but it would cost another 120 Euro. So no thanks....

We are also hoping that Aeroflop overbooked my wifes flight and she can accept money to take a later flight.... 20 mins later.

I am meeting with a travel agent tomorrow, hopefully they will arrange my visa without any other "work".

I am going for a tourist-visa, as most people say family-visa is too much work
