Thanks for all the good wishes and good luck notes everyone. I still plan on documenting the immigration from Russian to the US process and posting it up here for those interested to see/study.

Maybe I am wondering where that would be best to post my 'bring spouse to the USA' immigration experience in the forum?

That is a good idea as your experience will be uptodate and can help many other people.

I suggest you start a new thread and post it at this forum:

Bringing your Lady Home - Visas & Immigration

under the title:

Bringing your spouse to the USA

look forward to read your experiences.

First off congratulations. You make a nice looking couple and she is very pretty. You are a lucky dog.

It has been a decade since I was bringing my fiancee (now my wife) to the USA and that was doing a different visa than you will be doing. I did help my son do a spousal visa for his wife 2 years ago so I am not totally out of touch.

First off you are correct it is both slower and more expensive to use an immigration attorney. You are more likely to have problems with your visa as well.

Rather than go into a lot of details I am going to recommend a site that is wonderful for someone doing a spousal visa or any kind of visa. That site is www.visajourney.com It is a forum where those going through the immigration process help each other. They have downloads for all the forms and step by step instructions for filling out the forms and samples of filled out forms. If you have any problems the members there are very knowledgeable. There is also a sub forum for those doing a visa with someone from Russia. Of course it is free as well.

Wiz, I haven't totally disappeared, there just hasn't been much lately that I could post about. I do check in.

I knew we can always rely on you! [clap.gif]

I am so glad to see you back and know that you are doing fine.

No worries about the slow site..... you know very well the purpose for creating this site.... was to have a place where we old timers can come and chat, if we have something to talk about!

As you noticed.... on the way we have helped several people. [veryhappy.gif]

So I will continue the financial support until I run out of Money [wink.gif] [veryhappy.gif]

How is your wife doing? Has she taken over completely the business and you enjoy retirement? [lol.gif]

Please pass on our kind regards.

My wife is doing fine Wiz. She just went back home to Russia for a visit a few days ago and is still trying to get her body clock adjusted to the time there.

She has been a big help to the business but I still work 7 days a week. I will likely keep that up until I drop. I am taking some time off while she is gone to work on the house. Today I killed my lawn. Things are going well. Time seems to fly. December will be our 10th anniversary.

I will pass along you well wishes.
