Hi Guys!!!

I have not written for a while now, but everything's fine. My wife has been granted an EEA Family Permit for 6 motnhs which will expire in mid July. So for now we have been enjoying ourselves [glad.gif] . So I would like to ask you all, what are the next step in order to extend here stay here in the UK and what documents or/and forms we need to fill in.

Thank you

Wiz

what's with the 'must'... ?..

There's no NEED to apply for the residence card... but it is better to do so.. if Wifey wants to travel / apply for a job....

LEGALLY, there is no need - it's just a PAIN proving right of residency / right to reside / right to enter the UK, or other EEA nation etc. ..

The CORRECT response is "you SHOULD apply for UK Residency" ;) ...

[ pendant mode off]

msmobyru or simply Moby [tonque.gif]

Nothing new about your replies to such matters. You enjoy been an irritant .... [sarcastic.gif]

His wife may have the right to enter and live freely in the UK but YES it is a MUST if they wish to have an easy life and it is FREE of charge, so why not apply for one?

In your pendantic mode.... you can say whatever you like but in my view.... It is a MUST!

It would be more appreciated if you change your tone and try to give your advice in a more friendly manner instead of antagonising me or anybody else for that matter.

I am just back from my holiday so don't start again... not in the mood for your hassle.

I enjoyed my holiday very much so [thanks.gif] in advance for keeping friendly and civilised manner. [sarcastic.gif]

You DID note the smiley wink and 'pendant mode off' comments, Wiz ? [lol.gif]
[thanks.gif]

It's a SHOULD.. not MUST... MUST infers some legal requirement ...

Moby is correct.

When I drink several beers in quick succession I MUST visit a toilet or else I would most likely be arrested. [drinks.gif]

OK Mr "I Must pee or I'll wet my troosers".. 'Must' can infers a physical requirement, too [sarcastic.gif]

Guys thank you all for the replies.

I have got another question. When my wife applies for the residence card do I need to apply as well as I do not have one?

It is not a requirement as you have an EU citizen passport, obviously been here for over a year and have established your self, if I remember well and you can travel freely around Europe.

Of course your wife doesn't have to apply for a Resident card too but having one makes life very easy for you. Any how it is Free, so why not apply! [biggrin.gif]
