Russian Women and Sex

Read this article long time ago but can't remember where !

Needless to say that sex is too personal of a matter to analyze and classify it. Nevertheless, it is possible to distinguish a series of peculiarities characteristic of the Russian woman's attitude towards sex.

A Russian woman is basically passionate, spirited and impetuous; she gives her full self away to her feeling and will never be content to stop mid-way. However, the historical background of Russia, the Russian set of values formed during the previous centuries, the peculiarities of life in Russia have all constituted the factors that hold the woman back from manifestation of these fine qualities in her sexual life.

Firstly, a large number of girls is brought up with sex-is-an-obscenity attitude towards it. For a long time even talking of sex was considered an obscene action. At school classes in human anatomy the teachers with their eyes down and the blush on their cheeks forced out incoherent explanations of genitals and their functions, which added to the aura of indecency around them. And though Russia underwent a sexual revolution in the 1990s, the traditional moral precepts force us by their own momentum to skirt the topic bashfully. Not every mother or father can discuss without unnecessary tension the topic with their children.

The latter learn the thing in the street, obtaining the much-desired-for information from their friends, which entails lamentable results. The statistical data show that about 15 per cent of Russian girls start their sexual life at the age of 15. They are drawn so much not by the sexual desire as by curiosity or a fear to be abandoned by their lover, or the desire to look adult and mature.

Secondly, one can hardly think of a more powerful impediment to a Russian woman's sexuality than Russian living conditions. Often a newly-married couple live with parents in a tiny apartment with almost transparent walls and only one bathroom, or in a separate apartment where they share the only room with their child. The fear to wake up the relatives and the risk to be heard or, even worse, seen while making love impedes a Russian woman from giving herself away to her feeling: She is holding her emotions under control which, as it is known, does more harm than good in the sexual intercourse.
Thirdly, the man is customarily been considered the head of the family, that's why the woman, whether she is aware of it or not, places all the initiative with the man in what concerns not only the initiation to make love but also the sexual intercourse itself which makes the Russian woman inert and passive in bed.

And fourthly, every Russian girl is brought up on Russian classical literature that proclaims bashfulness, purity and innocence of the girl. "Die but don't submit to a kiss without love," is the morals of the classics of the Russian literature. As you can see, sex is put of question here.

So what should a man do if he wants to have a Russian woman liberated from the power of these factors and impassioned in her love? Here are some pieces of advice.

Do not be too insistent. A Russian woman must feel your sexual desire but needs to know this is not all you want. She appreciates love and is convinced sex is the logical consummation of it, not the beginning.

The sexual technique is of little importance for a Russian woman. She loves flirting, courting, prelude. She loves with her ears, hands and lips and you should always remember that.

She is fascinated by some sexual rites performed together: such as spreading fresh linen, etc., and by the romantic atmosphere: candles, light music and wine; it helps her break away from the unprepossessing reality and plunge into a magic world of sex.

You should be very considerate for a Russian woman during all the time in bed with her, especially after the sexual intercourse. She is so vulnerable that will feel offended if you turn away and fall asleep right after making love, even if you had got her shrieking with pleasure.

Do not compare the way a woman, especially Russian, acts in bed with models set up by erotic and porno films. Russian woman is the last person to resemble those seductresses as presented by the producers of hot films. A Russian woman's sexual limits, the range of sexual liberties she permits are rather narrow. You should carefully determine these and try to extend them slowly and without pressure. Otherwise, she will think you are making her a whore or a rubber doll.

Do not be surprised by the fact that a Russian woman will invariably decline to have a spontaneous sexual intercourse: on a table, in the elevator, on a landing or in the forest. There are several reasons for that. Firstly, the Russian woman is extraordinarily clean. She may spend quite a time at the bathroom even if she realizes you are impatient to see her, because she wants to appear before your eyes impeccably clean; the same, by the way, she will require of you as well in return.

And secondly, the living conditions of the Russian woman don't provide her with an opportunity to indulge in spontaneous sex, even if she has such a whim: Russian baths are so small and uncomfortable that one will find just enough room to squeeze in there, let alone any mutual strenuous exercise.

A semi-automatic washing machine is neither suitable to make love on. The floors are in most cases creaking, so if you decide to make love on the floor, the whole block will be aware of that.

And one more remark. Should you make up your mind to give your Russian lover a pretty erotic present, a vibrator for example, before you go on a long trip, be ready to face surprise at the best or even resentment: she will think you do not trust her and mock her bed feelings. A Russian woman accepts only natural sexual tools. You risk facing the same failure to understand, and resentment, if you propose her to participate in an orgy, to invite one more partner to have sex among the three or anything like that, which a Russian woman considers a perversion.

Thus, a Russian woman is naturally a sensual and passionate lover, but these qualities are usually blocked by social and moral factors rooted in ancient times. But if you follow the advice given above you will know what she is capable of in love.

Russian Women and her Husband

A married Russian woman has her life values arranged as follows: children - husband - relatives - her home - her job. As you can see, husband plays one of the predominant roles in her life. Let us define what husband means to a Russian woman.

The husband is HER man, that is a man who makes her feel useful and significant. She doesn't fret about being alone, she doesn't rack her brains over who will accompany her to a party; the expression 'to be married' itself has a literal meaning in Russian 'to follow the husband, to be behind him.'

The husband inspires her with confidence in her welfare. In Russia the man has traditionally been considered the bread-winner. The woman feels more secure against major financial problems when she can count on two wages or salaries to make her family budget.

The husband is a regular sexual partner. A Russian woman nowadays, especially those over 25-30 years old, has certain problems with finding a man to establish permanent sexual relations with. This isn't a concern of a married woman.

The husband is the father of the woman's children. Russians believe a child must have both mother and father. Although the responsibility to bring up children lies, to a great extent, with the woman, the authority of the father is absolutely indispensable.

In brief, the husband is EVERYTHING to a Russian woman. One of my acquaintances says: "He is a lover and a child and a girl-friend to me." This is also proved by the fact that after the wedding the number of female friends of a young wife is considerably reduced: she doesn't need them any more.

The husband has traditionally been the highest authority for the Russian woman. She will not go out, nor make major purchases, nor take important decisions without first consulting with him.

A Russian woman takes care of her husband as if he were her child: she washes and irons his clothes and cooks delicious meals for him. But such attitude is not a universal trait of Russian women. One can often come across families where the husband washes and cooks for himself while the wife is engrossed with her job or a talk with friends. Families differ; all depends on the relations between the spouses. If they love each other, the woman tries to do her best to manifest her tender love for her husband.

A Russian proverb claims 'Wife without husband is like child without a mother.' This may be the best symbol to reflect the relation between the Russian woman and her husband.

What are your views?

Russia - Sexual Attitudes

In the 1990s, Russian sexual values and attitudes generally moved toward liberalization and autonomy, with distinct differences according to age, sex, region, and level of education. In the Soviet era, the Russian attitude toward sexuality itself paralleled that toward artistic expression of the erotic: it simply was concealed. Most Soviet philosophical, psychological, and biological reference works made little or no mention of sexuality as a major characteristic of human beings. Soviet psychology, notoriously backward and misused, ignored almost completely the influence of sexual behavior and motivation on overall psychological makeup.

After decades of Stalinist repression, Russian erotic art, literature, and theater began a gradual revival in the 1970s as censorship and ideological control weakened somewhat. Access to Western novels with erotic motifs, such as Henry Miller's Tropic of Cancer and Vladimir Nabokov's Lolita , also improved in this period. In 1992 restrictions on the publication of erotic literature were loosened in Russia, heralding a rapid output of erotic and pornographic material of all sorts. A collection of children's erotic folklore was prepared in 1995, and erotic film festivals and photography exhibits began to appear in the 1990s. The public seemingly has accepted the frequent use of nudity in Russian television, dance, and drama.

Especially in film and literature, the shift has produced many instances of gratuitous or cruel sex and arbitrarily introduced nudity. Violence against women frequently is a central motif of movies, and violence and sex often are linked. Russian observers have expressed alarm that the release of long-repressed sexual expression in art will be accompanied by a similar deluge of sex and violence in Russian society. Indeed, the incidence of violence and sexual attacks against women in the first half of the 1990s seems to confirm these fears (see The Role of Women, this ch.).

Objections to the trend toward sexual liberation are concentrated in the older generations. In surveys younger and better-educated Russians generally voice approval, and new enterprises selling cosmetics, high-fashion clothing, and health products play to a new public interest in attractive display of the human body. The individuality implicit in such marketing--and especially obvious in the new Russian youth culture--is a drastic change from the strict standards of dress and grooming imposed in the Soviet era. The wearing of shorts, for example, only was accepted in Russia in the 1980s; in the Soviet era, women could not wear trousers in public without harassment or arrest; and vigilantes often forcibly cut the hair of youths who exceeded the standard for hair length.

According to surveys taken in the early 1990s, most Russians feel that romantic love is a precondition to marriage and to sexual intimacy. But there are great differences in attitude toward this ideal between the older and younger generations, between the sexes, and between rural and urban Russians. Russians in larger cities tend to take a more liberal outlook on premarital sex. The younger generations in Russia show a much more casual attitude toward commitment to a long-term relationship than do the older generations. However, in surveys younger males showed a much stronger identification of sex with pleasure, and younger females a stronger identification of sex with love. Russians' attitudes toward premarital sex became somewhat more liberal in the 1990s; in a 1993 survey, the percentage of those disapproving was substantially lower than it had been in previous years.

The official policy of the Soviet Union toward homosexuality was one of persecution and intimidation. Until the late 1980s, Russian social scientists and society in general were completely silent on the subject. Under those conditions, homosexuals, known as "blues," lived in an underground culture circumscribed by the brutality of gangs and the police and by employment discrimination.

With the advent of glasnost and the appearance of acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) in the Soviet Union, open scientific and journalistic discussion of homosexuality began in 1987. The issue became politicized in 1990 as gays and lesbians began attacking discrimination as a human rights issue. At this point, strong arguments appeared for abolishing Article 121 of the Criminal Code, which stipulated that sex between men (but not between women) was a crime. Despite increasingly strong opinion against Article 121, in the early 1990s nationalists and communists joined some religious organizations in opposing decriminalization. Meanwhile, the number of convictions under Article 121 decreased steadily. Although Russia's new Criminal Code had not been ratified as of mid-1996, substantial modifications had been made to Article 121 by that time.

Hundreds of gay rights organizations appeared in Russia in the 1990s, mostly in urban centers. Moscow became the center of Russia's gay and lesbian communities, both of which remained substantially less overt than their Western equivalents. Despite a gradual increase in public tolerance in the 1990s, substantial residues of homophobia remain in Russian society. The neofascist group Pamyat', for example, remained violently antigay in the mid-1990s, and the communist and extreme nationalist media have launched strident homophobic attacks. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, numerous surveys identified homosexuals as the most hated group in Russian society, although the number of Russians calling for their extermination or isolation decreased noticeably between 1989 and the mid-1990s.

Education

In the Soviet period, education was highly centralized, and indoctrination in Marxist-Leninist theory was a major element of every school's curriculum. The schools' additional ideological function left a legacy in the post-Soviet system that has proved difficult for educators to overcome. In the 1990s, reform programs are aimed at overhauling the Soviet-era pedagogical philosophy and substantially revising curricula. Inadequate funding has frustrated attainment of these goals, however, and the teaching profession has lost talented individuals because of low pay.

I do not agree with you.
In russia there are girl from town and girls from villages.
the minimum salary is extremly low and allow to a girl to survive, but not to pay a rent.
A girl from the town, may live at her parents, or relative home, long time enough to mary or get a better job.
A girl from village cannot survive alone in town and pay her rent.
In russia you will meet sponsor and soderjanka.
A sponsor is a man more or less wealthy, and usually mature, but generous who will "help" young girls to survive, pay their rent, pay their study, and help them to get a more rewarding job.He usually choses high quality girls(pretty young, intelligent, educated, )
It is not really prostitution as long as the girl choses the man, and usually does not change of sponsor. He is just a generous boyfriend.
I do not say that every girl had a sponsor, but every girl from a village, who live in town have a strong probability having been a sponsor'mistress = a soderjanka.
From city girl it is not so frequent, but city girls are very attracted by generous mature men too.
Furthermore many russian girls are ready to pay some holidays in russia, (sotchi, or moscow for a provincial girl, or turkey, italy...)by having sex whith the man who offer them such a travel.
Russian girls are romantic, but they know that their face(or their whole body) is their fortune, and they frequently use it.
Somehow, I prefere a girl who had been a rich man mistress for some years, than a girl who had sex with a huge number of uninteresting jerks who did not take care of her.
A sponsor is usually not only generous, but likes to treat the girl like a princess, as long as he can afford it, maybe as a compensation of the difference of their age( still russian girl are really attracted in general by mature men because they are because they want to feel safety, and mature men show experience of life).
As a conclusion of my few experiences with russian girls, I can say that they are very open to sex , as long as you are clear with them, but they hate to be manipulated, and russian men are very frequently liars and manipulators, regarding to girls.

Hello Foxbat
It would have been nice if you introduce yourself, firstly, before making post, but never the less you are [welcome1.gif] to the board.

What you describe about the Russian women, mistresses or supported from rich men, is nothing new or special to the Russian society.

In actual fact, as you may already know it's widespread in the western countries on similar lines as you described between village and town girls and all depends on their background.

Russian women, as you say, they are open to sex and have no qualms about it, as long as they get to know you first. They don't have to fall in love you before having sex...... natural progression on human interactions.

Girls in the west are more confident of themselves and in my view don't pay the same attention to their appearance as the Russian women, where competition for a valuable man.... is immense.

Accepting an invitation to go on holiday from a man, who can afford it..... women, from whatever Nationality are fully aware that there is not a free meal...... and payment in kind is expected and they are happy to obligate. Why not a nice exchange of good and services with a cherry at the top of the cake! [wink.gif]

Makes the holidays more pleasurable! [biggrin.gif]

Sorry forgeting to introduce myself.
In fact I was surprised, that as russian girls suffer from lack of "valuable" men, they are still ready to have sex with men without testing their "value".They really spoil their "marketability" doing that, and in a competitive world that seem strange.
I love russia, I love russian girls, and my dream (and I am working to make it happen)would be to settle there, and not only for girls.

I am not surprised at all that the girls are doing exactly the same as men do..... when they meet and get to know a new prospective partner. Actually I must remind you that we are living in a very modern period and not in the dark ages and virginity is not a taboo apart from certain religions and cultures.

Don't most men try to get them in the sack .... to get to know them better......... so on the other hand, what is wrong with women finding out if they are compatible and the men can deliver the goods?

Women always look for the best of the human species to procreate....... and the same apply for us too.

Why do they loose their marketability, when you simply don't know anything about a woman'a private life that you meet and the same apply for them or is it your personal preferences?

Why their past should be a problem when you are looking to find the right person for you to share your life?
