[hello.gif] GTR My wife and I have enjoyed reading your last years visit to Moldova....... and when you have time I would much appreciate if you post the report here too, in the travel report section!

I think I know which thread you mean. This thread isn't mine. It was started by a member named Azamuner. The thread talked about their wedding reception, going to her parent's dacha, touring the winery, and seeing other sites around Chisinau. His wife and my wife are friends and we introduced them to each other. They had their first meeting with us in my city. All of us took a trip to Chicago together for a few days and had a great time. They are married to each other now (2 years) and we were at their wedding in Canada.

Sorry about the mix up ..... yes it was Azamuner!

Any how you must have a lot to write about your own travel experience in Moldova.

We do have another member here, LesH, who married a woman named Vita, from there!

Take a look at this link to see his intro:

What a coincidence!, I haven't logged on or posted here for a while and noticed I've been mentioned :)

[welcome1.gif] too.

My wife (of 5 months) is from Tiraspol although she was born in Russia.

Thanks for the welcome Les!

I've never been to the Tiraspol area but I hear things have calmed down quit a bit in the last 10 years. I know a guy that was there last year and had no problems.

If you get a chance, check out Chisinau. It's my 3rd favorite city in Europe behind St. Petersburg Russia and Varna Bulgaria.

Congratz on 5 months of marriage. I wish you good times together and a lifetime full of happiness!
